Hi folks, for those who have bought these - I'm an 8.5 in Nike, what size should I go with in New Balance?

it's 30 dollars now on clearance sale not sure if I should try it

I own these and completely agree with this review. Shoe works great in preventing dirt and water from getting stuck in the shoe. Overall my feet are generally cleaner after trail running with these than my other shoes. My biggest complaint is stability. The general construction of the shoe is sock-like therefore it takes more skill to be able to control your foot placement on tougher terrain. Ive twisted my ankle every time I’ve downhill with these, sometimes multiple times. Giving up stability makes the shoe more comfortable and breathable keeping the feet feeling good on those longer trail runs.

I’ve put over 700 miles on these shoes and still no issues on comfort or durability. Excellent shoe

Tried them on in a store (liquidation), and the bounce seemed fun, but is it just me or there’s no stability?

My biggest question regarding these shoes is whether or not they'd be comfortable to wear while shooting a comedy sketch about bears being really neat

Hi I usually wear shoes number 44 usually which passes with my orthopaedic soles. But Salomon are shorts on my finger (finger touch too much and downhill worse) and with the new orthopaedic soles I have I cannot even fit them in. checking the website Salomon has 44 2/3 or 45 1/3. if I should try to take a bigger size hoping they fit with my orthopaedic soles but hoping they are nor too big so then the heel will move. which one do you think should I get? I have a 130 euro voucher but I must for sure use it on line so I cannot try the shoes before. I have a pair of Wings Flyte 2 GTX which are light great to walk, run and hike fast but they are (44) too short and feel small on the fingers. do you have a model to suggest? and which size u think? thank you

What is the name of the Salomon shoe you were comparing this to ? + in terms of design and outsole i don't see any impovmments visually from the MAX2 to MAX 3.

I mainly use altra running shoes because the toe box is amazing, but i have been reading great reviews about the fuel cell rebel v4. Is there any options for a wider to box? Really want to tey these shoes out.

I'll probably use these for Road Running.. i go thru road shoes every month.

Love the 3s! I replaced my Altra Olympus 5s with these and ran a 33K right out of the box on very rocky jagged AZ terrain and they felt great all 20 miles. I use the Topo Pursuit for anything under 10 miles and save my trabuco max 3s for anything over 10 - toe box is wide and the cushion is great - too me it is not too firm - it is a very nice mix of soft and bouncy - more on the bouncy side. Very happy with them except not a big fan of the plain tan but it does blend into the AZ landscape

Warning. These are extremely narrow. My toes felt pushed over to one side.. After just 5 miles, my feet began to ache so much that I took them off and sold them. Also, go half a size up or even better, buy the vomero 17 instead.

I have a love hate relationship with mine. I probably like my shift 3 more. Better bang for buck

Very good fit without discomfort in any area, good grip on rocky, dry and muddy terrain. It is a light shoe with excellent cushioning, perfect for long distances. A mix between the Salomon Sense Ride and Salomon's classic aggressive model, the Speedcross. I have Salomon sense ride 4 and I wear a 49 1/3 shoe, which is the maximum. The Salomon Thundercross does not disappoint.

Id like to get these i tried once some model dont remeber which but i was 44,5 in them...im usually a 44 in nike casual lifestyle or running shoe.. so should i get these in 44.5 or 45, do they fit small

Well. I have it for three months . they are expensive but I found them half price . What I think ? - they are not bouncy - they are heavy - have no grip for the forest - too stiff too be comfortable - way too large - not exciting to run in Worst trail shoes Nike made despite all the good points you can hear sometimes

New balance more trail v3 vs caldera 7 vs trabuco max3.... Which one you prefer??

Hey Ethan. How many miles did these last in the end? I’m finally retiring my Hoka Rincon after 500 miles. Those lasted way much longer than expected lol

A great upgrade. Put some serious miles in v2. The v3 upgrade is on the upper - the lockdown is better, the collar is a more confident fit - the tongue doesn't go wandering and you can feel that it's lighter. You are running in a tank of a shoe so on technical stuff it can feel a little like being on stilts. But I love it and so do my legs after a long day on the trails.

This will be my next shoe because I purchased a Rebel v4 & absolutely love it. 💥

hi there! between the Prodigio and the Timp 5, which one is more comfortable for long runs? I have the Altra Timp 5 brand new, but I'm considering returning them because the upper seems stiffer than I expected. Even though I prefer Altra's "footshape," it is said that the Prodigio is wider in the metatarsals than it seems. I would go half a size up to be sure.

Would it work for road to trail running?

My Olympus 4s are done at this point so crossing the fingers and hoping the 5s work.

Great review. Did you find that there was any more big toe to vs ver 2? The 2s grind the outside of my big toe. I love the light color for warm sun.

I will be curious when or if you review the newer Norda brand, particularly the Norda 002. I enjoy the Asics trail shoes and appreciate the grip and long-lasting reliability.

Emerged from watching with a new sense of faith in the human spirit and a bigger fan of Pearl Jam.

Did a 50 K miced surface ultra with this shoe. Third time same race. Beat my time with 64 minutes. Leg saving, and economical and fast midsole. Best road shoe of all trail shoes I have used.
